Why it is being collected
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service

When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We also access the camera and gallery with your permission to capture reporting incident evidence.

Security & Use of Your Personal Data (How it will be used)

We are Ashford Borough Council (ABC) and are a local authority which provides services to residents and businesses in Ashford, Tenterden and a large network of surrounding villages.

• Your data will be stored securely where it can be viewed and shared where necessary, by our staff, suppliers and partners, including town and community councils within the county borough of Ashford Borough Council , or our contractors. This ensures your concerns can be directed to the correct part of the council, or to the appropriate service provider if it is a partner. You may continue to submit reports anonymously however, we will be unable to feedback any updates on progress in relation to your request.

The council will only share your information where it is required to do so, for example where services are delivered jointly with other organisations.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to non Governmental parties or are required by law to do so.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible, at contact@ashford.gov.uk , We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

How long we keep your personal data for

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we have collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
